Roles and what they can do
Every staff member has one role. A role is a list of permissions. Four roles come with every organisation, and the Owner can make more.

In one line each
- Owner: everything inside the organisation.
- Admin: runs the organisation day to day, except roles.
- Operator: handles users, cells and alarms at the lockers.
- Viewer: can look at everything and change nothing.
Custom roles
The Owner can create a role such as "Front desk" with exactly the permissions it needs. See Roles.
One person, one exception
A single person can be given one extra permission, or have one taken away, without changing their role. See Permissions for one person.
What only IMBox can do
Some things are handled by the IMBox team, not by your organisation:
- setting up locker stations, zones, readers and Bluetooth locks;
- switching self-registration on or off for a zone;
- changing how often a station reports and when it raises an alarm;
- running the fix tools and looking at a station's technical state.
If you need one of these, report an issue and IMBox will do it.
